If you have purchased this course and fail to complete the requirements before SB2 takes effect at 12:01am on January 1st, 2024, there will be no refunds for failure to follow the directions or complete the course in time.

Welcome to your state-mandated CCW renewal class. Completion of this online course and your live-fire qualification will enable you to renew your California CCW.
A renewal course must be completed every two years to renew your California CCW.

This course is broken up into 7 segments of instruction that you will be tested on at the end of each segment. You must complete this course within 30 days of starting, or you will be locked out, lose your progress, and be required to repay and start over.

You must complete the lecture or reading segment before you will be able to complete the module test. Please pay attention to the timer at the bottom of the screen, the timer must expire before you can advance to the next section.

You may start and stop as much as you wish, but you will not be able to move on to the next lesson until you have completed the previous lesson and passed the section test.

Once you have completed the course, you will be able to print a certificate of completion for 30 days after completion of the course, so try to print your certificate as soon as you finish. You can also screenshot your certificate with your smartphone. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PRINT A REPLACEMENT AFTER 30 DAYS HAS PASSED FROM THE TIME YOU BEGAN THE COURSE. You will still need to complete your “live-fire” qualification to finish your renewal process.

You will then take that certificate to The Firing Line for your “live-fire” qualification.

This can be done anytime The Firing Line is open for shooting, no special arrangements are necessary.

To complete a lesson, you MUST wait for the timer at the bottom of each lesson to reach 0. Once the timer reaches 0, the “Complete Lesson” button next to the timer will be highlighted and allow you to click it to complete the lesson. Please do not use the Next Lesson, Previous Lesson links at the bottom as they will reset the timer and not allow you to continue and you will need to wait for the timer to count down again to complete the lesson using the button.
