If you have purchased this course and fail to complete the requirements before SB2 takes effect at 12:01am on January 1st, 2024, there will be no refunds for failure to follow the directions or complete the course in time.
Welcome to your state-mandated 8-hour CCW initial class. A renewal course will be required every two years to renew your California CCW, once your initial permit is in-hand.
Completion of this online course and your live-fire qualification will enable you to apply for your California CCW.
This course is broken up into 12 modules of instruction that you will be tested on at the end of each segment.
You must complete the lecture or reading segment before you will be able to complete the segment test. Please pay attention to the timer at the bottom of the screen before trying to advance to the next section.
You may start and stop as much as you wish, but you will not be able to move on to the next lesson until you have completed the previous lesson and passed the section test.
Once you have completed the course, you will be able to print a certificate of completion for 30 days after completion of the course, so try to print your certificate as soon as you finish. You can also screenshot your certificate with your smartphone. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PRINT A REPLACEMENT AFTER 30 DAYS HAS PASSED FROM THE TIME YOU BEGAN THE COURSE. You will then take that certificate to The Firing Line for your “live-fire” qualification.
The shooting portion of your test can be done at any time The Firing Line is open for shooting. No appointment or special arrangements are necessary to come in and shoot.
