Course Breakdown
- 16 Hour CCW Non-Resident Course – Good for counties listed on the affiliates page.
- Course will be broken down into sections containing lessons on the topic of the section.
- Student must complete each section, section quizzes, and final exam at the end of the course.
- Student may stop at any time, and come back to course at any time.
- Student will have 90 days to start, finish, and print certificate of completion.
- Certificate of completion for this course is good for 90 days.
- Certificate of completion must be presented to your issuing agency along with your live-fire form.
- Students will not be able to reprint certificate after 90 days has expired.
- Live-fire exercise will be provided by the issuing agency, not California Online CCW.
Welcome to your California-mandated 16-Hour Non-Resident California CCW class. Completion of this online course and your live-fire qualification will enable you to apply for your Non-Resident California CCW with an agency in a county where you intend to visit.
This course is broken up into multiple sections of instruction that you will be quizzed on at the end of each section. A 50-question final exam will be administered at the end with a passing requirement of 80%.
You must complete this course within 90 days from purchase, or you will be locked out, lose your progress, and be required to repay and start over.
You must complete the entire section before you will be able to complete each section’s quiz. Please pay attention to the timer at the bottom of the screen, the timer must expire before you can advance to the next section.
You may start, stop, and resume as much as you wish, but you will not be able to move on to the next section until you have completed the previous section and passed the section quiz.
Once you have completed the course, you will be able to print and/or save your certificate of completion. You will need to provide your certificate of completion to your issuing agency along with your form for completion of your “live-fire” qualification with your local instructor.
